By far this is the best Batman movie I've seen, when Jack Nicholson did The Joker in 1989 reviewers wrote that no one can be a better fit for this role. Since I saw the Dark Knight last week and am thinking what could I blog about it? Unlike the new hollywood movies, this one is very unpredictable and very entertaining. All I can say is, you have got to see it!
The only problem with ‘The Dark Knight’ it makes u hate all the other superheroes movie. Best movie of the year without any real competition
well, indeed it is a good movie. and yes, the Joker is mostly to be “blamed” for that. but it’s good not only because of the performance, but also because of the fact that it presents a more real character, a more realistic story.
the Joker back in 1989 fell into some chemicals and that turned him into the freak he was. the Joker in 2008 became a freak because of more psychological issues that somehow connect to his life before the crimes. the Joker in 1989 was a masterpiece because it was the first so far that actually could touch the comics/animation character’s traits/moves/voice/insanity. the Joker in 2008 is a masterpiece because of the way in which it presents a very disturbed, yet genius, mind who seeks chaos as a way of living. brilliant nonetheless…
anyway, both of them are incredible, even if the approach they have on the character is different… true art of acting.
