Tomb of the Dragon Emperor really sucked

Posted by Mo J. Al-Mughrabi under filmmaking

Yesterday I watched The Mummy (Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) and it really sucked. The first two releases of The Mummy had a decent sense of humor & continuos series of event kept happening plus not seeing Rachel Weisz here made it a little odd.

Did I just enjoy Batman because of The Joker?

By far this is the best Batman movie I've seen, when Jack Nicholson did The Joker in 1989 reviewers wrote that no one can be a better fit for this role. Since I saw the Dark Knight last week and am thinking what could I blog about it? Unlike the new hollywood movies, this one is very unpredictable and very entertaining. All I can say is, you have got to see it!

I promised something original before the weekend starts, I've been trying to figure out how to cut videos and place them into my post because this one is very original. Before a while, I got a chance to see Planet Earth from BBC its around 11 episode each one targeting a specific world. In the sense, the ice world, the jungles, seas, shallow waters..etc.

I would have to say, each episode is unique and has at least 1 or 2 scenes that will put you in a shock. Well, by that I mean, you will witness something new to your eyes. For instinct, I knew that polar bear can swim but I never saw any swimming polar bear before, during the Ice World episode I really enjoyed that scene and kinda felt sorry for them having to swim miles in search of food. Also in the same episode there is part where it shows you the survival of penguins during the harsh winter season and how male penguins group together to warm one another and save their eggs while female leave in search for food.

Movie review: City of God

Posted by Mo J. Al-Mughrabi under filmmaking

This movie is exceptional, the day I saw it, I went straight to my to-do list and wrote "City of God, Must blog". American movies reached out to every country in the world, doing the same typical story, the same bad people. but, lately I thought maybe I need some change, maybe I need to see different point of views other than the coming from Hollywood & this is when the addiction starts!

City of God is one of the top movies produced in Brazil, the story is based on true event. About a reporter, lived in the middle of the worst street gangs & had to witness the development of young people turning into murderer & drug dealers. His neighbors, cousins and friends and some how he was not dragged into this lifestyle and he lived to tell the story.

Movie review: The edukators

Posted by Mo J. Al-Mughrabi under filmmaking

The edukators is a german movie, the events took place between three teenagers who setup operations from their van to watch higher society and break into their villa's. the catch is not to steal anything but to rearrange the furniture and leave a note saying "Your days of richness is numbered, signed the Edukators". Off course, things doesn't always go according to plan and something happen during their break-in that brings a series of other event to occurred.

The thing I really love about this movie is the dialog, if you are learning Germany this is a nice movie to test your skills. The story is very catchy and will keep you alert and waiting for what will happen next. You will really enjoy seeing the mountain (countryside) of germany when the three decide to disappear for a while and they choose a cabin at a top of a mountain.
